She is a first-generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is an abbreviation for her marriage name Mankad. The actress employs Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar for her official name. Though she initially had small TV and movie parts, her acting career began to gain momentum around the turn of the century. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. She has also been featured in commercials of major companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. The actress lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and continues to pursue her acting career.
